Ecuador

(Non European countries)

Bocavaldivia is the art of culinary expression as an instrument for transformation. Lead by Chef Rodrigo Pacheco, they design immersive experiences that harmonize people with their essence and puts forward a vision to restore the balance of all ecosystems. Rodrigo Pacheco and Dayra Reyes have lived for almost a decade in Puerto La Boca, in the province of Manabi, Ecuador. They have transformed an oceanfront plot into a charming, world-renowned destination for hospitality, gastronomy, biodiverse agriculture, ecosystem regeneration, social work, and sustainable lifestyle, becoming one of the most unique experiences for travellers and homeowners.

Benefits

They work with the environment where they carry out the activity, as well as with third parties as suppliers.

Environmental: they work to preserve and regenerate the health of forests, oceans and the like. Not only with the collaboration of labour, even making direct donations for these purposes.

Technological: they apply improvements to the techniques of cultivation and production of products through technology. In addition, they use the available ICTs to find the most graphic and simple way to show things as simple as who they are, even more complex things such as the composition of their crops and seeds.

Key Success

They invest resources in regenerating with agroforestry, building local schools and creating sustainable tourism.
