Every year, the Municipality of Ílhavo promotes the traditional bread festival in Ílhavo, in partnership with the Cultural and Recreational Association “Os Baldas” and Os Cardadores de Vale de Ílhavo – Cultural Association. A week before the festivity, the population has the opportunity to see how bread and folar are made. They can learn the secrets of artisanal cooking and get their hands in the dough. The main objective of this festival around bread from Vale de Ílhavo is to help enhance this traditional product and foster que local economy.
