Ethno household Đedovina

Serbia and Montenegro

(Europe)

The primary activity of the rural household of the Bulajić family in Grahovo is the production of organic food. Organic vegetables, fruits, and recently organic honey have been successfully grown on the organic farm for many years. During the year, visitors can engage in various activities within the Đedovina Ethno household. The beautiful nature and Grahovo Lake are ideal for swimming, walking and cycling. In the summer, honey is poured, strawberry jam is cooked, and work is done in the garden and the grass is cut. There is a lot of work in the fall, the fruit harvest begins, and winter storage is also being prepared. In winter, it is possible to enjoy walks through nature, and traditional home-cooked meals with the crackling of a fire, while during spring, the initial work in the orchard, sowing begins around the household, so it is possible to participate and learn about the organic production of fruit, vegetables and honey.

Benefits

Most of the food comes from their farm, which they produce themselves according to modern standards, without pesticides and other poisons. Within the farm there is a garden where they grow organic vegetables, nettles and similar. This household also contributes to the preservation of traditional recipes and local cultural heritage.

Key Success

Certification of organic production and beautiful natural landscape.
