On the Hren farm there are several important points of traditional crafts. From “Pozoj’s jar”, “Pozoj’s cottage” and the traditional handicraft of the Međimurje region “Pozoj’s hands”. This farm is a picnic area with a renovated old barn and a garden with native flowers, shrubs, fruits and vegetables. In addition to the above, the Hren family is also involved in the production of traditional toys, items made of corn cob, straw, straw, crepe paper, and knitted and embroidered items. OPG Pozojov vrčak combines production in an ecologically certified vegetable garden, orchard, vineyard and nursery with an original offer related to active tourism which includes active work in the garden, picking fruits, flowers, medicinal plants, collecting seeds…
The family Hren decided for regenerative agriculture, to return carbon to the soil, and they achieve this with old methods of growing fruits and vegetables, so in the beds, apart from a special combination of vegetables such as corn, pumpkin, beans, they often leave certain types of weeds, i.e. plants that help recovery soil or protect against intruders, and the idea of a self-sustaining ecological garden has fully come to life there.
The family made a great effort to direct their previous experience and upgraded knowledge towards creating a regenerative experience. Visitors have the opportunity to be part of this story through work and rest, all with the aim of activating all the senses.
