For the third consecutive generation, and from the beginning of the last century the Tsolakis family has been faithful to the tradition of cultivating roses. The family business followed the footsteps of its innovative ancestors, continuing the production of rosewater and expanded it’s products adding in their list Rose Cordial, Rose Liqueur, Rose Aperitif, Rose Wine, Rose Nectar, (Rose Essential oil), Aromatic candles, Organic Rose Tea, Rose Vinegar, Rose Jam, Rose Chocolates.
The Rose Factory is also a famous destination in the village of Agros as it welcomes visitors every day offering tours and workshops. In May, when the blooming is on its peak, the family business welcomes volunteers for the gathering of the roses. The Rose Factory amongst others won the Bronze Award at CYPRUS TOURIST AWARDS 2019 and the award for Organic Wild Rose Tea at the GREAT TASTE AWARDS 2023 in the United Kingdom.

The Rose Factory succeeds in involving tourists in the rose cultivation and rose-products production which are made exclusively out of roses cultivated in the local community. The Rose Factory has become a famous tourist destination as it welcomes visitors offering tours and workshops, as well as volunteers for the rose gathering in May. The rose- factory promotes quality, organic rose -products produced on the island, protection of the mountainous landscape and controlled traditional harvesting methods. It creates job positions in an isolated mountainous area while continuing the family legacy of rose cultivation and traditional products.

The product’s quality, the wide-range of the products and the inclusion of visitors and tourists through the organized tours, workshops and rose picking constitute the success factors of the business. Visitors at the Rose Factory have a unique and inclusive opportunity to learn about how the specific kind of rose (Rosa Damascena) is cultivated and harvested in the area. Tours and workshops are offered while in May volunteers are gathered for the rose picking. In the beautiful, mountainous countryside of the Agros village visitors can smell and taste rose products such as Rosewater, Rose syrup, Rose Liqueur, Rose Aperitif, Rose Wine, Rose Nectar, (Rose Essential oil), Aromatic candles, Organic Rose Tea, Rose Vinegar, Rose Jam, Rose Chocolates and many more.
