Zrno organic farm is located in the small village of Habjanovac, 60 kilometres from Zagreb. The farm is spread over an area of 20 hectares and it is surrounded by forest and combines ecological agricultural, processing and bakery production on its surfaces and facilities. The farm is also the place of educational content related to production activities and the topic of ecology and sustainable development, while in the centre of Zagreb it works Zrno Was bistro, the first and only certified 100% organic restaurant in Croatia.
All products are ecologically certified, without foodstuffs of animal origin and made with the masterful skill and passion of local employees. Also, Zrno farm offers the visitors a lot of learning possibilities. The educational content is divided into thematic modules that can be combined.
Consumer demands for organic products are constantly growing and influence the promotion of organic production. Also, a combination of several sectors was key to the success of this example of good practice.
