SMEs in food tourism face financial, regulatory, and capacity-related challenges that limit their ability to innovate. Based on interviews and surveys with producers, this resource maps key barriers, including access to funding, administrative burdens, and skills gaps (e.g., digital and green skills). Using ecosystem mapping and stakeholder feedback, it explores practical solutions to support SMEs in overcoming these obstacles and successfully developing tourism experiences that are both economically viable and sustainable.
